RETRACT FLAPS GEAR DOWN The co-pilot wanted to say something to Schiphol, but was interrupted by his captain, who gave the order in Israeli Hebrew to retract all flaps and to put the landing-gear down. "Tarik et kol haflaps!! Et kol haflaps tarik!!" - Pull up the flaps! Up with those flaps! then he says : "Torid et hagear!" - Gear down! The captain wanted to pull up the flaps, because they only worked on one side because of damage to the hydraulic system and made the plane roll to the right. That damage was caused when engine 3 broke loose and smashed away several wing parts as well as engine 4. |
